Where are your products made?
Every Deming Leather Co. piece is made by hand in our workshop in Poulsbo, WA. A single craftsman, burnishes, and finishes each piece in-house.
Nothing is outsourced: the same man that finishes every edge also quality-checks every belt before it ships.
How long will it take to get my orders?
Each wallet is made to order by hand, one at a time. We are able to make your wallet and ship it out usually in 1-2 weeks time from order placement.
How do I care for my leather product?
Never put a full-grain leather belt in a washing machine, heat and detergent will strip its natural oils. For routine cleaning, wipe the belt down with a slightly damp cloth to lift dust, then let it air-dry flat at room temperature.
For deep conditioning, work a pea-sized amount of our leather balm into the strap with a soft cloth in small circles once or twice a year, that’s enough to keep the 10oz American Leather Direct full-grain supple for decades. Don’t overdo it; more balm doesn’t mean better conditioning.
Avoid direct heat like hair dryers or radiators. Leather shrinks and cracks when force-dried.
